Free NHS Antenatal Class - Birmingham Women's and Children's
Are you planning a midwife-led birth?
Would you like to know more about your options for place of birth with the Birmingham Women's Hospital?
Come along to our workshop, here we can discuss the different places where you can birth your baby, with a focus on midwife-led birth and Homebirth.
Meet us on Saturday at the Education Resource Centre at BWH (Basement floor, entrance located by the staff carpark, opposite the UHB A&E entrances).
The session will run from 10am until 12:30pm. We will cover the following topics:
- Options for place of birth at Birmingham Women's Hospital
- Homebirth care, Domino care, Traditional care
- Who the Homebirth Team are
- Pain relief options at home vs hospital
- Safety of homebirth
- Positive birth stories and videos
- Hypnobirthing taster
- And much more...
The Birmingham Women's Homebirth Team covers the BWH Community Catchment area for homebirth/domino care.
If you live outside our catchment area you are welcome to attend our workshop to learn more about your place of birth options, but we won't be able to provide you homebirth care. Please speak to your community midwife to find out about Homebirth services in your local area.
