This class includes a separate tour of the hospital on the Sunday 29 January @ 4:20pm , please wait near the coffee shop area at the Birmingham Women's Hospital. Your breastfeeding session will be on 26 January 10am-12pm at the Birmingham Women's Hospital, Parent Education Room, Lower Ground Floor.
We strongly advise you to bring cushions and/or birth balls as the chairs in that venue are small, hard and folding ones. Please remember to bring your own lunch. There is a kitchen and a small local convenience store nearby for lunch time.
This course will be taught by Helen Knight.
We aim to cover the process of labour and birth, stages of labour, when to come in and what to bring, getting labour started and medical induction, managing pain, self help techniques, birth, assisted birth, caesarean birth and lots of practical babycare skills. A tour of the delivery suite is included.
Try to attend your course between 30 and 35 weeks. You can book anytime before that.
