Join us for a guided visit to the famous Byker Wall Estate in Newcastle. Known for its unique design and strong community focus, the estate is a key part of the city’s architectural history.
This site visit will take place in two parts:
- Presentation at the Byker Community Centre - Hear from the project team about the ongoing regeneration works and how the team is upgrading and maintaining the site while preserving its character. You'll hear about the challenges and successes of working on a listed estate and how different teams are working together to improve homes for local residents.
- Walking Tour of the Estate - A guided walk through the Byker Wall
A great opportunity for anyone working in construction, design, planning, or anyone interested in social housing and regeneration.
