Bystander Intervention workshop (One Croydon Training)
Overview
Have you ever witnessed a harmful situation but hesitated to act?
Why not join our online Bystander Intervention Workshop: Cultivating Change Together?
This workshop explores the bystander effect, why people often remain passive when others are in need and helps uncover how our unconscious biases influence our responses in moments of fight, flight, or freeze. We’ll examine the impact of microaggressions, the subtle yet powerful behaviours that can shape someone’s sense of belonging and safety in their daily life. Through open dialogue, real-life scenarios, and practical tools, participants will learn how to recognise, interrupt, and prevent hate-driven actions.
Together, we can move from being silent witnesses to active allies, building communities rooted in awareness, empathy, and courage.
This online session is part of our One Croydon Training programme, which is for Croydon's frontline workforce (statutory, health, and voluntary sector) colleagues working in Food Banks, Social Prescribers, Helpline Staff, Befrienders, Social Workers, and Employment Advisors.
A zoom invitation with log-in details will be emailed to attendees 2 days prior to this event.
