Event description

Description

Since 2012 Byte the Book has been at the very forefront of the publishing industry, running amazing events at the best venues in London and at book fairs around the world. Our primary aims are to educate authors and publishers on the latest developments in the book world and to help our community make valuable connections with each other and across the publishing industry. You can see some reports on recent events here and here.

Come join us for this panel discussion out in Bologna at the Children's Book Fair and find out what new and traditional UK publishers are doing to reach a wider more inclusive audience. We’ll explore the concept of intersectionality, and see how technology and modern storytelling considerations are enabling publishers to make their content more relevant and more accessible to a wider range of young readers.

Panel
Chair, Justine Solomons, Director, Byte the Book

Speakers
Ed White (Partnership Project Manager, OUP)
Aimee Felone (Co-Founder, KnightsOf)
Giorgia Chairon (Art Director of Books, Wonderbly)
Ken Wilson Max (Founder of The Chicken Newspaper for Children)

This event is free to all attendees of Bologna Book Fair. Members of Byte the Book can get in free to the fair, saving you €90. You can join Byte the Book from just £36 a quarter here.
