C-Card Scheme Training (For those joining up under 16s)

This is a free half-day (3 hour) course delivered by THT Norfolk for professionals who are interested in joining young people aged 13-15 to the C-Card Scheme and becoming a C-Card point. 

You do not need this training to join up 16-24 year olds and only want to function as a C-Card Lite point.

Aim:

• to join up under 16s confidently to the C-Card scheme and to ensure that they are safeguarded.  

Outcomes: (participants should be able to)

• join up a young person aged 13-15 for an under 16s C-Card
• know how to return data to THT and order stock
• explain how and where to use their C-Card to get free condoms
• discuss safer sex, STIs, Emergency Hormonal Contraception (EHC), and relationships both confidently and knowledgably.
• assess a young person for 'Gillick Competence' using the Fraser Guidance 
• signpost accurately to other sexual health services.

Lunch is not provided, although tea and coffee are available and there are shops nearby. Parking is available on site, follow the signs for the 'field parking'.
