An online workshop that explores the use of our A-Z wellbeing cards as a practical tool to support children & young people's mental health
About this event
Now more than ever children need to be able to understand and cultivate their own mental health independently.
While there will always be a place for breathing exercises when faced with life’s challenges, this alone doesn't help children learn what the ingredients of good mental health are.
How do they learn to recognise their own, or others’ difficulties, and know what they can do about it? How do they pro-actively nurture and strengthen their own resilience?
This is exactly why “C is for Creativity and 29 Other Ways To Nurture Healthy Young Minds” was created!
Introducing you to this fabulous creative resource, this workshop explores how the 26 A-Z cards and 4 ‘Wild Cards’ offer both ground-breaking, yet digestible, insights for grown-ups and practical ways for young people to explore that learning in a hands-on and meaningful way.
You will come away from the session with an understanding of:
- How the cards can strengthen various social competencies, as well as children’s wider learning and development
- How to maximise the card's adaptability to use in whatever time you have (whether a 5-minute gap or a whole week of activities!)
- How the cards can make a meaningful difference to children of all ages and all abilities, and on their ability to learn well, do well and be well
Dates available:
- Thursday, 28 April 10-12pm
- Tuesday, 24 May 1-3pm
- Wednesday, 22 June 4.30-6.30pm
