Data Literacy and Data Value for everyone!
"Communicating Data Literacy and the Value of Data to Clients and Colleagues"
by dr Kirk Borne
This workshop will provide numerous comprehensible and informative examples of Data Science, Machine Learning, and Statistics that can be used in various settings where we need to communicate the power, uses, and possible misuses of data to others, including non-data experts, potential business clients, and business colleagues who want to know what these things are and how can we unlock the value from our data!
The concept of Data Literacy will be introduced and juxtaposed against examples of Statistical Literacy (such as “correlation does not imply causation”), beginning with “how to lie with statistics”.
This workshop will give you the knowledge you need to promote “Data Literacy and Data Value for everyone!”
