A CPD training event for History teachers offering or introducing/developing GCSE or A Level Ancient History. Expert-led workshops.

About this Event

Are you a History teacher and thinking about introducing Ancient History qualifications in your school or college? Do you already offer a GCSE or A Level Ancient History, and think you would benefit from some expert guidance and support in developing these?

This CPD, put together by the Classical Association Teaching Board, offers workshops on some of the mandatory sections and options of each of the qualifications for the OCR Exam Board, developed by leading academics in their fields -- all of whom have extensive experience of teaching in these areas. You will be provided with further resources and guidance, and opportunity to discuss the materials and your teaching with other teachers.

Signed-up participants will be sent the Zoom link and invitation a day or two before the event, and a link will be posted here to the YouTube channel where you can watch the pre-recorded sections of the workshops a week beforehand, at your leisure.

Registration fee: £5. All proceeds will be donated to COVID-19 hardship schemes for classicists run by New Classicists and the Women’s Classical Committee UK. Ticket sales will close at 6pm on 21st July.
