Ceremonial grade cacao works best as it is usually processed ethically, in its purest form without any adulterants. This means you are getting the full nutritional and spiritual benefit from the plant.

There are many online retailers that specialise in ceremonial grade cacao. You can put in a search engine "Ceremonial Grade Cacao" I can recommend: Forever Cacao, and Ritual Cacao. These are two online shops I use for my own personal use.

Are there any contra-indications with cacao?

Accepted Answer

If you are in the second or third trimester of pregnancy; have histamine allergies; are taking antidepressant or antipsychotic medication;  if you have a heart condition. Use less cacao than a full ceremonial dose.
