3D Friday is back and this time we have Vectorworks joining us for a live demo walking you through a typical architectural design process. Held at Firstsite in Colchester, you'll also have a chance to get hands on with our Oculus Rift VR set, browse some 3D modelling and CADCAM applications, and more.

Vectorworks Presents “The CUBE” - 2pm Start

Architect Product Specialist, Luka Stefanovic, will be on hand showing the process of modelling a project in Vectorworks Architect whilst following UK BIM standards.

In this live demo, you'll be guided through RIBA design stages, you'll follow along with a complete typical architectural design process and learn about BIM standards and the framework.

The presentation will show various parametric tools, along with some new features from Vectorworks 2019. We might even see a preview of some brand new features ahead of Vectorworks 2020. The presentation will end with a Q & A.

Virtual Reality and 3D Modelling

We'll also have a variety of 3D applications, that will be available to discuss and demo. Plus.. our Oculus Rift VR headset will be set up with various rendered V-Ray scenes and some interactive Keyshot scenes so you can see how VR can benefit your business.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

By Car
Firstsite is a short walk from all Colchester’s town centre car parks, the nearest car parks are Priory Street and Britannia.

By Train
Firstsite is a few minutes’ walk from Colchester Town Station via Queens Street, or 25 minutes’ walk or short bus ride from Colchester mainline station.

By Bus
The High Street, Queen Street and East Hill are well served by many local bus routes with bus stops just a few minutes walk from Firstsite. The park and ride also stops on the High Street.
