Event description
This session will focus on the different roles of our Family Court Advisers and Business Services staff, and what it is like to work here.

About this event

Our Chief Executive, Jacky Tiotto, will be opening the session which will focus on the different roles of our Family Court Advisers (FCAs) and what it is like to work here.

The session will start with an overview of our Practice covered by one of our Assistant Directors. You’ll also be hearing from members of staff (Family Court Advisers, Business Services staff and Operational Managers) and from members of the Family Justice Young People’s Board. At the end there will be a Q&A session where you will have a chance to ask questions.

Each FCA role is unique but they all have a common goal: to put the wishes, needs and feelings of the children and families first, making sure the voice of the child is at the heart of the court setting. The FCA roles in Cafcass cover both Public Law and Private Law (inclusive of the Early Intervention Team and Work After First Hearing). There will be a Practice member of staff from each area who will provide more information on the work they do as well as giving an insight into:

  • The candidate and induction experience;
  • Our approach to health and wellbeing and flexible working;
  • Support for development and career progression;
  • How our Business Services teams support our practice staff.

Find out more about Cafcass, an Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ organisation and the largest employer of social workers in England. For every child whose future is decided by the family courts, we will provide a service that prioritises their safety, their voices and their needs, taking into full account their families and those connected to them. We are proud of our wellbeing offer which has gained recognition from the regulatory body Ofsted and industry awarding bodies such as the HRD Awards.

Register for the event to find out more about what it is like to work here.
