On Friday 30 April, Judith Rainhorn will give the first talk of the series in French on 'Quand la peinture devient un poison : la céruse, les inventeurs et l’état, 19e-20e siècle' (When paint becomes a poison: white lead, inventors and the State, 19th-20th centuries).
Judith Rainhorn is Professor in Modern History at University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (Centre d’histoire sociale des mondes contemporains) and a MFO researcher in History and History of Science. For this first 'Café Scientifique' she will give a short conference in French on the history of white lead and explain the consequences of its use on human health.
