Event description

Description

You are invited to take part our first mini DataDive! This DataDive will last one day and involve one project. We would be thrilled to have you with us to spend the day digging into data.

This DataDive is in partnership with the Cafedirect Producers' Foundation, a UK-registered charity that works with smallholder farmers and their organisations. Their current programmes reach ~280,000 smallholder tea, coffee and cocoa farmers across 12 countries in Africa, Latin America and Asia.

We will be working with them to explore and analyse survey data they have collected on smallholder coffee and tea farmers in Kenya and Uganda.

We are trying to keep the event small and focused so are limiting the number of participants to 15 on an invite-only basis.

Remember, you need to bring your own hardware and software, your data skills, and the belief that you can help change the world for the better.

Schedule

Saturday, 20th February

  • 9:00AM: Doors open, coffee and breakfast
  • 9:30AM: Presentation from Cafedirect Producers Foundation
  • 1:00PM: Lunch
  • 7:00PM: Dinner
  • 8:00PM: Participant Presentations
  • 9:30: It's a wrap!

We will start by getting to understand the data and form teams around the individual project questions. The Data Ambassadors will manage the project throughout the day. We'll have meals and progress reports at regular intervals. Final presentations will take place at 8pm.

If you need to get in touch you can contact us on: contact@datakind.org.uk
