🧩 Equality Matters: Neurodiverse Mental Health & Wellbeing in Caithness

📅 Friday 5th September 2025🕐 1.00 pm – 3.00 pm📍 Pulteney People’s Project (PPP), Huddart Street, Wick🍴 Networking Lunch | Sharing lived experience | Co-designing action

Who’s it for?

This free session is open to everyone — especially if you:🧩 Identify as neurodivergent (for example, living with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, Tourette’s, or other ways of thinking and experiencing the world)❤️ Support a family member or friend🧠 Have lived experience of mental health challenges🤝 Work or volunteer in services and want to listen and learn🌍 Care about making Caithness fairer and more inclusive

About this event

This Caithness Experience Matters Advisory Panel (ExMAP) Equality Matters Session is co-hosted with Encompass Caithness. It’s all about improving mental health and wellbeing support for neurodivergent people.

The ExMAP is a panel of people with lived experience, unpaid carers, and supportive family members working together to make services and spaces across Caithness more:💜 Compassionate · 💚 Respectful · 💛 Inclusive · 💙 Empowering · 🧡 Supportive

We’ll create a safe and welcoming space where lived experience leads the way. Together, we’ll discuss openly the challenges, celebrate our strengths, and co-design practical solutions to make services more inclusive, joined-up, and supportive.

At its heart, the Caithness ExMAP is about belonging: creating a community where everyone’s experiences have a person and a place, and where they belong and matter.

Why Equality Matters

These Equalities Matters sessions are part of a series of events aimed at ensuring that every voice is heard in shaping mental health and wellbeing within Caithness.

Our purpose is to:✨ Reach out to voices that are currently underrepresented in the ExMAP✨ Recognise the additional barriers that equality groups face in accessing support and being heard✨ Remove common barriers — understanding how they intersect across different equality groups, so we can design solutions that work for everyone

Why come along?

By joining in, you’ll:✅ Add your voice to shape more inclusive mental health and wellbeing services✅ Connect with others who understand and value lived experience✅ Work with services and partners to co-design positive changes✅ Help grow safer, stronger, and more inclusive support in Caithness
