Happy New Year! Welcome back to a brand new year of cakey goodness. As many people may be starting a new year diet resolution, we've decided to have a special theme this month of diets and dietary requirements. As such, if you would like to make a cake that is low fat/sugar/carbs, gluten free, vegan, or any similar theme then please feel free and make sure you label it approriately when you arrive. As always the themes are not obligatory, so we shan't turn away any full fat cakes either! Please note that we will rely on member's contributions in this regard and we can't guarantee accuracy in regards to any allergy or intolerance information.
We will be returning to Fothergills (near the castle) this month. When you enter the main door, the stairs are just in front of you to the upstairs room that we will be using.
Make a donation!
If you can't attend this event but would still like to donate to our charity of the month, please click the button below to donate into this month's charity total
We will be offering Baker and Baker's Guest tickets as per usual. Please note that Baker's Guests must come with a registered Baker and we ask that Bakers bring a maximum of one Guest each to keep the numbers balanced. We run Cake Eaters Anonymous for the love of cake, not for financial gain, and all donations raised through ticket sales will go straight to charity.
The generosity of our members has been really stunning, but to ensure that we don't struggle to have room for all the cakes as our numbers increase, please aim to bring enough cake for 8-12 people at the very most.
Please bring a plate/dish/stand to serve your cake from as our new venue will not be able to provide us crockery for serving.
Any spare cake at the end of the night will be available to share between attendees, in return for a charitable donation. Please make sure you bring a box with you to take your leftovers home in, especially important for Guests who won't already have a cake box with them.
Charity of the Month
Charities will be chosen on an event by event basis. Contact us if you would like to suggest a charity for a future event!
Nottingham's charity is the Nottingham Mencap who help support people with a learning disability or difficulty, and their families and carers.
Please arrive at 2pm with your cakes, the cake bar will open at 2.30pm. We need you to slice your cake before the queue forms, so please do so either before arrival or before the buffet opens.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
It can be helpful but it's not required as we can check you in by name.
What is the refund policy?
Please see our website for the refund policy:
