This module starts by setting the Shared Education context, then challenges participants to articulate their vision for SE and to make that a reality through deciding on a joint strategic plan. Through robust discussion and group activity, partners consider what impediments may arise and consider what leadership skills and competences they might use to overcome challenges. Personal reflection on current practice is a key aspect of the module.

The Shared Education context will be set before participants and they will be encouraged to formulate their vision for SE and explore strategies and enhance skills to realise the vision and grow school improvement within and between the schools.

Experiential learning techniques will be used as a vehicle to stimulate fresh approaches to planning, monitoring and evaluating shared activity.

Consolidation of learning through reflection will be a key component of the module, with clear guidance and support provided throughout.

Skill development will focus on:

Develop the essential skills to underpin collaboration in this Middle Leadership Course:

resilience; communication; influencing & persuading; motivating others and developing emotionally intelligent teams to thrive in a changing landscape.
