CALL OUT for Workshop Participants!
Please join Jack Marder and Kirstin Barnes, artists and members of the CSM Photosculpture Group, as participants in a free photogrammetry skills sharing workshop for beginners on Thursday 23rd March. The workshop will be split into two sessions one at 12:00pm-1:00pm and another 2:30pm-3:30pm and they will take place at the Lethaby Gallery as part of the Annihilation Event.
As a participant in this one hour workshop you will learn how to generate your own 3D model which will be of our 'reclusive objects'. The reclusive objects that participants will be able to re-create digitally into 3D models will be objects taken from private spaces like a bedroom or archival objects from CSM Museum & Study Collection or will be objects that have spent some time underground. To create the 3D digital model you will use quite a particular process called photogrammetry which is essentially the 3D reconstruction of multiple images.
This workshop might interest someone who is new to this process and wants to learn more, or maybe wants to take their own artistic practice in a new direction or perhaps could use photogrammetry as a tool of documentation for their online portfolios. If this workshop interests you please book a place!
Please note this workshop is free and all equipment will be provided during the workshop so theres no need to bring anything along, just yourself. There is also a very limited number of places on the two workshop sessions:
Thursday 23rd March
12:00pm-1:00pm - only 6 particpants.
2:30pm-3:30pm - only 6 participants.
If all spaces have been booked but you have a strong interest in this workshop please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
Please also contact the above email if you have any further questions.
we look forward to seeing you!
Jack and Kirstin
