About this event

St Mary the Virgin presents a beautiful candlelit evening of live music performed by international performing artist Calli Malpas and international musician and composer, Abraham Hampton. In a one-off 90min performance, specially created for this event to help raise funds for St Mary's, this outstanding musical duo will be performing an array of popular songs from the likes of Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles and Etta James and Alicia Keys to name but a few.

This is the first night of it's kind to be held at St Mary's and we welcome you all to celebrate the beautiful space we have in which to host such a glorious evening of live entertainment.

Do you have to be a member of St Mary's Church to attend?

No , the event is open to all and we very much welcome all who wish to attend.

What facilities are available?

Refreshments will be provided at the end of the event for those wishing to stay and convene, we will not be offering refreshments throughout the performance to keep audience volume to a minimum during the performance. Please also be aware that there are no toilet facilities directly on site.

How do you access via public transport?

St Mary the Virgin is a short walk from Stone Crossing Station and also a short walk from London Road which is accessible by the 215, 274, 492 and 71 busses.
