During this hands-on workshop, you'll explore the art of watercolour and brushpen calligraphy to create beautiful, personalised creations. Grace will guide you step by step, teaching simple techniques in both calligraphy and watercolour, along with helpful tips to support your creative journey.
You'll make personalised creations in memory of your loved ones with your choice of Calligraphy Christmas Cards, 3 words postcards & personalised letters.
Take time ahead of the workshop to think about what you might want to write; a message to put in your Christmas card, what 3 words to describe your loved one, or write out a memory or a message to put into a letter where you'll write their name, any headings for memories and sign the letter in beautiful calligraphy lettering. You'll then have a chance to put these creations into our 'Thinking of you' community postbox outside at the end of the workshop.
Included:
1. Personalised envelope for your loved one
2. Your creation - Calligraphy Christmas Card, 3 words postcard or personalised letter
3. All materials provided
4. Free Tea & Coffee throughout
Whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience, this workshop is suitable for all skill levels. All materials are provided—just bring your enthusiasm and creativity! You'll leave with your own handmade cards and the confidence to continue practicing at home. This is a chance to pause, relax, and get creative as you take a well-deserved break from the everyday.

Artist Bio: Grace
Grace is a self-taught calligrapher and watercolour artist based in West Yorkshire. She began by creating custom prints and greeting cards and now focuses on teaching others through relaxed, welcoming workshops in brush pen calligraphy and watercolour.
She runs workshops across Yorkshire, offering accessible and engaging sessions designed for all skill levels. Her classes are fun, creative spaces where participants—whether complete beginners or returning creatives—can slow down, connect, and enjoy the simple pleasure of making something by hand.
Guided by the ethos pause, relax, create, Grace’s teaching draws on techniques from both art and psychology that are proven to support wellbeing. Her workshops encourage people to embrace the process, experiment without pressure, have fun, and find calm and joy through creativity.
This event is not a bereavement support group or a ‘death café’, but it is part of Full Circle Funerals’ ongoing efforts to support more open and supportive conversations around death, dying, and bereavement. You don’t have to talk about these topics at all on the day—but if you want to, the space is here for you. You’ll be surrounded by people who are open, understanding, and happy to listen.
