Are you a practicing visual artist working in any medium, anywhere in the UK? We would love to hear from you as we look to extend our network supporting disabled creatives, with a focus this time on visual artists. Please join us for an informal online meeting hosted by Jennifer Gilbert, where we can meet each other and chat through any skills that you might like to learn, and whether you would like to take part in any creative arts based workshops online. Jennifer has been an industry guest at our DANC events. This event will be BSL interpreted.

Following these meetings we are expecting to devise a series of 5 fine art masterclasses for you all.

About Jennifer:

Jennifer Gilbert is a Manchester based Gallerist, freelance producer and curator, working with self-taught, disabled and overlooked artists. In 2017 she launched the Jennifer Lauren Gallery to internationally showcase these artists, having previously spent years managing a national arts charity for under-represented artists. Jennifer is passionate about showcasing the voices and artworks of these artists to wider audiences, allowing their true artistic language to shine. Through her work Jennifer hopes: to demystify what is regarded as art; to continue to challenge the stigma surrounding this field; and to re-look at how this work is displayed and written about within contemporary arts.
