SHAMANIC DRUMMING CIRCLE
Shamanic drumming, as distinguished from other types of drumming, usually refers to the use of sustained, repetitive drumming rhythms. Shamanic drumming employs a repetitive rhythm that starts slowly and then gradually builds in intensity, maintaining a tempo of three to seven beats per second. The ascending tempo will induce light to deep trance states, facilitating shamanic techniques such as journeying, shapeshifting, and divination. Ever since our ancestors beat on hollowed-out logs and stretched animal skins over wooden hoops, these instruments have been a major part of cultures. From the Sami to the Siberian shamans, the drumbeat has led us into song, dance, and journeys through the worlds.
In the days following the Hunter’s Full Moon and the weeks leading up to Samhain, we gather once again in sacred circle beneath the fading autumn light. This is a time to honour the turning of the Wheel - when the veil between worlds begins to thin, and the voices of our ancestors grow clearer. We gather to share our offerings: with the ancestors, with one another, and with the Earth. Together, we drum, we breathe, we remember. In this circle, we will journey inward - to meet the places within us that seek healing, restoration, and reconnection. Through rhythm and stillness, sound and silence, we reconnect with our roots, our lineage, and the foundation from which we grow.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO READ BELOW
- PLEASE BRING AN ITEM YOU CAN PUT ON THE ALTAR FOR HEALING THAT YOU WILL TAKE AWAY AT THE END OF THIS EVENT. Suggested items: stones, feathers, corn, necklaces or anything else you would like to be a part of the circle.
- Please bring some food to share if you can.
- Arrive 10min early
- You are welcome to bring any musical instruments that you have and would like to use during the circle: Drums, rattles, shakers, other percussion instruments, guitar, and more…
- If you don't have any Shamanic drums or other musical instruments, please don't worry, as some will be provided by me that you are welcome to use during this circle
- A cushion, a yoga mat and a blanket for the healing round
- The spaces are limited to 30 people.

- Your space will only be confirmed if pre-booked well in advance. Unfortunately, I don't accept cash on the day, but if you struggle to pay for it online, please let me know, and I can make an exception
- If, for any reason, you are not able to attend, please let me know well in advance, so your space can be given to somebody else.
- Full refund can only be issued if cancelled 24 hours before the beginning of the event

This is the time to grow your roots deep into the Earth, so that you may stand strong and find courage and love in your heart to move forward in life.
