Description

The TUC in the Midlands is delighted to have organised an inspirational night with leading figures from the labour movement to discuss their journey within it. The night is a celebration of the book written by the late Mary Alys who worked at Midlands TUC and a free copy will be available to all of those who attend.

The evening is being held to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8th 2018 and will be at the Waterfall Public House, Railway Terrace, Derby DE1 2RU.

The fantastic panel of speakers includes;

  • Louise ReganNEU (NUT Section) National President

  • Annmarie Kilcline Regional Secretary, Unite the Union, East Midlands

  • Cheryl PidgeonLabour Party Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Rushcliffe

  • Sonya Robotham – Director of SpectrumD (SpectrumD focuses on providing educational, awareness raising and community building/cohesion programmes for Derby and Derbyshire Communities, especially for those from low income areas, those marginalised in mainstream provision and those affected by Hate Crime and discrimination.)

  • Moz Greenshields and Sue Arguile – Derby Area Trades Union Council
