Cambridge and the Art of Mindful Cycling: Philosophy on Two Wheels
Sunday, 9 November 2014 from 14:00 to 16:00 (GMT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Cambridge has more cyclists per head than any other town in Britain. Some people will say that’s because the streets are so flat, but is there more to the story? Is there a connection between cycling, creativity, and mental focus? Ben Irvine, author of Einstein and the Art of Mindful Cycling, provides a new perspective on Cambridge University, the surrounding town, and beyond, on a unique philosophical cycling tour.
Showing how cycling promotes mindfulness – a calm, lucid and attentive state of awareness both inner and outer – the tour will enlighten both regular cyclists and newcomers alike. (And yes, Cambridge is very flat.)
