About this event
The Cambridge Climate and Sustainability Forum
The Cambridge Climate and Sustainability Forum (CCSF) is a two day annual event aimed at increasing awareness of climate change, through a variety of panels and showcases. It is organised by a group of 10 University of Cambridge students, with the support of Cambridge Hub.
The 2022 Forum will span two days: 9:30am-5pm on Saturday 11th June, and 9:30am-1pm on Sunday 12th June. It is being hosted at the historic Cambridge Union, a beautiful venue right in the centre of town.
2022 THEME: A CLIMATE RESET
This year's Cambridge Climate and Sustainability Forum, ‘A Climate Reset', seeks to reset and recalibrate our responses to the climate crisis. Through understanding it as an inevitable reckoning produced by long term systemic inequalities, we can address a wider network of intersecting injustices. We want to emphasise creativity and diverse voices in sustainability, centering intersectionality and looking outside the Western narrative.
What's going on: panels, exhibitions and a whole lot more...
Join us in stimulating panel discussions on Decolonising Climate Responses, Cambridge-Based Activism and Representing the Climate Crisis Creatively. Some of our prestigious speakers make up the list of Climate 100- the world's most influential people in climate policy.
We will also be hosting a Green Fair showcasing local sustainability initiatives and organisations, an exhibition of artistic responses to climate change, film screenings and a stimulating discussion on ecocide.
An entirely plant based lunch will be provided, and we've got a special selection of vegan cakes from Thrive for the afternoon break.
