Players to bring their own music stands, pencils and mutes.
Intermediate to advanced players are invited to join Simon de Souza & Assistants to form two large Horn ensembles, working on music from Simon’s vast library.
Professional players will be guided by Derek Oldfield playing music from the Tony Halstead Horn Ensemble Library.

Dean Foley, founder of the Brentwood Horn Club, retired from professional playing in 2004 after an eclectic UK/ European career in orchestras and ensembles. Dean is an experienced conductor and arranger of horn ensemble music and an orchestral conductor.
Simon de Souza is Professor of Horn at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and, for 33 years, specialist horn tutor at Wells Cathedral School. Simon previously held horn tutor positions at Junior Royal Academy of Music, Purcell School and Radley College. Simon writes regularly on horn related matters.
Derek Oldfield has played with the Scottish National Orchestra and the Royal Shakespeare Company, composed for theatres around the world and has conducted extensively in Eastern Europe.
