Theme: Paul’s Radical Vision for Community

In ‘Paul’s Radical Vision for Community and Commission’ Lucy Peppiatt aims to look at Paul and his writings, bringing out his radical theology and influence on the foundations upon which the NT Church was founded and flourished. Lucy will focus on Paul’s understanding of what it means to be baptized into Christ and sent out in the power of the Spirit, while also addressing some of the issues surrounding Paul’s references to women in the church.

Speaker: Dr Lucy Peppiatt

Lucy has bachelor’s degrees in both English and Theology. She completed her MA in Systematic Theology at King’s College, London, and her PhD through the University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand. Lucy’s research interests are Christ and the Spirit, Charismatic theology, discipleship, and 1 Corinthians. She and her husband, Nick Crawley, lead Crossnet Anglican Church in Bristol. They have four sons.
