Event description

Description

You may be looking for a new career challenge, an alternative route into the public sector, a temporary secondment to experience working in the built environment from a different perspective or to give something back towards the end of your career. You may have experience in planning, surveying, architecture, urban design, project management, landscape architecture, sustainability, community engagement or historic environments – or you may not fit into any one of those categories. We are equally keen to receive applications from practitioners with alternative expertise.

Public Practice is building the public sector’s capacity for proactive planning by selecting experienced built environment practitioners - Associates - for placements within forward-thinking public organisations - Authorities. We are expanding our placement opportunities and currently in discussion with Authorities across the East of England. As we have some exciting new roles coming forward in this region, this open evening is an opportunity for locally based practitioners to find more about how Public Practice works, and get advice on applying for the October 2019 Placement Programme.

The event will be held in the new Storey's Field Centre, part of the new Edmonton development. There will be a presentation starting at 6:30pm, but please feel free to arrive any time from 6pm. There will then be an opportunity to ask any questions you might have and meet the Public Practice team over a drink.

Please sign-up to indicate that you will be joining us.

For more information on how to apply to the Public Practice programme - see www.publicpractice.org.uk for the Prospectus for Associates.

The deadline for applications is 3 June 2019.
