Join us at Cambridge Public Health’s annual showcase event on ‘Breaking the cycle of Intergenerational Adversity: the role of public health’.

The conference aims to shed light on the profound impact of intergenerational adversity and explore insights to break the cycle of adversity, drawing on the latest evidence from across research areas and disciplines. It will focus on the need for a public health approach to address the root causes of intergenerational challenges and identify effective interventions and strategies that promote population health and well-being.

We are delighted to announce that Professor Sir David Spiegelhalter, Emeritus Professor of Statistics, will be a keynote speaker at the event. He will be joined by Dr Pete Mills, Director of the PHG Foundation, Professor Sarah Harper from the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing and Professor David Taylor-Robinson from the Institute of Population Health.

The showcase will also feature inspiring speakers from Cambridge Public Health, with a focus on sharing knowledge from across disciplines about effective approaches to maximise collective impact.

The event is open to researchers, practitioners, policymakers involved and interested in public health. It aims to provide an opportunity for participants to exchange ideas, engage in thought provoking discussions, and explore interdisciplinary collaborations to drive meaningful change and improve the well-being of both current and future generations.
