Join us to collectively organise and input into local decision making on a resilient Cambridge and improve your neighbourhood's disaster readiness.
Details
This will be a working meeting to collectively action outcomes from Let's Talk About a Resilient Cambridge. Feel free to drop in or out as you are available:
16:00-17:00 - We will plan a series of panel discussions each focused on an aspect of resilience in Cambridge. Each aspect will get its own dedicated event, with a panel of local experts presenting on the topic to local councillors and the public, who are all invited ask questions. The outcome of these discussions will be compiled into a report with the intention to inform the council's strategy documents and Local Plan. During this first hour, we will therefore workshop the initial topics and experts.
Break
17:00-18:00 - We will expand the Cambridge Resilience Web for disaster responses, building on the ideas suggested at Let's Talk About a Resilient Cambridge. We will create a tag for organisations focused on disaster response, and begin to talk about how we could implement an collectively agreedinterest -- local hubs -- hyperlocal webs of neighbourhood connection that would provide a first point of call for help during a disaster.
