Cambridge Sustainable Fashion Fest: Creating Your Signature Style
Event Information
Description
Inspired by the Yves Saint Laurent quote ‘Fashions fade, style is eternal’ the organisers of the Cambridge Sustainable Fashion Festival have invited professional stylist Roberta Style Lee to work with visitors to help them reveal their style, rather than the High Street’s.
Discovering your personal style and finding those clothes that work best for you is one of the keys to dressing more sustainably. In the UK we buy more clothes than any other Europeans, in fact we buy 60% more clothes per person, on average, than we did in 2000!
Roberta Style Lee is the professional stylist who will be running the Sustainable Fashion Festival styling workshops. London based Roberta will host three brilliant sessions during the event: Body shape and colour analysis; Creating your signature style and Creating a capsule wardrobe (each needs to be booked individually). Roberta states that ‘My goal has always been to empower women to be the best version of themselves from the inside out – and do it in a socially and environmentally responsible way.’ Roberta is also the founder of the Ethical Brand Directory.
This Festival celebrates sustainable fashion and includes a pop-upmarket featuring new and vintage clothing, an interactive fashion show, a women’s clothes swap party (swish) , a sewing themed Repair Café and sewing skillshare, upcycling and arts workshops and a panel discussion with leaders from the world of sustainable fashion.
