Sign up above for your free place at the Camden Challenge Day.
The Camden Challenge is all about looking for fresh and creative ideas in response to these two important questions:
On the Camden Challenge Day people like you will spend a day working with the people who have entered ideas in response to these challenges. You might be challenging them because you are a local resident and understand what it is like to live in Camden. You might be a person who works in the field and can share your expertise. You might be have a skill to share, such as designing or coding that can help the teams make these ideas happen. Or you might just be interested and want to muck in!
So long as you are up for joining in and making the ideas happen, you are very welcome. We're a friendly crowd and would love as many people as possible to come along with an open mind to see what we can create together on the day.
The event is free and lunch will be provided.
Entering an idea for the Camden Challenge
Sunday 23rd June 2013 NB - the DEADLINE HAS NOW PASSED
After the deadline, we will select the best ideas to be worked on at the Camden Challenge Day and the shortlisted idea owners collaborate with teams made up from designers, service users, Camden residents, developers and other professionals.
On the Camden Challenge Day you will have a lot of fun working together in teams to develop the ideas further, challenging each other and testing assumptions by trying it out where possible. This will lead to a presentation at the end of the day that demostrates to the judging panel how the project solves the problems, why it is different, what impact it could make and how it will be sustainable.
The best teams will be selected to go on to receive a summer of top notch support to prototype their ideas and develop robust business plans. If you sign up for the event on the 6th July, you are not committing yourself to remaining with your team through the summer, but we hope that some of you will be up for this.
In early autumn, these teams will pitch their ideas at a Dragon's Den event to potential funders and investers (NB there will not be Camden Council grant funding available for any of these ideas).
