Peter Chesney and Lisa Button will be running a 2-hour workshop on alternative and experimental photographic processes. These processes are particularly suited to printmakers and photographers who are interested in creating hand made photographic images on a variety of unconventional surfaces. The main process we will be exploring is the cynotype or blueprint process. Although it was originally developed in the nineteenth century as a non-fading photographic process, it became better known as a method of reproducing engineering and architectural plans. Everyone taking part can also experiment with other early processes such as Salt Prints and Gum Bichromates.
