Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) is a specialist NHS Service where children and young people and their families can be referred to when children are finding it hard to cope with family life, school or the wider world.
The types of problems CAMHS can help with include violent/ angry behaviour, depression, eating difficulties, low self-esteem, anxiety, OCD, sleep problems, self-harming and the effects of abuse or traumatic events. CAMHS are expected to work with children and young people up to the age of 18.
We are running a series of focus groups to look at existing services and how they can be improved. All findings from these sessions will contribute to the shaping of future provision in Brent. The themes that will be discussed are:
- Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)
- Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE)
These focus groups are aimed at Brent's Voluntary Sector Organisations who have knowledge of these issues as well as Brent residents who, as parents of children have first-hand experience of using these services.
All attendees will receive a £10 voucher redeemable at a range of high street stores.
