The Campaign Carousel offers a brand-new way to develop your campaigning know how.

The Campaign Carousel is an on-line training programme that runs three times a year so you can jump on and jump off as and when suits you. Offering the essential building blocks of how to drive change, alongside a range of workshops, this flexible new programme allows you to design comprehensive campaign training tailored to your needs. You are invited to complete the training within a year to be certificated.

Based on SMK’s ground breaking work on ‘Social Power’ – and how it can be used to make change at all levels – this training works for those new to campaigning and those looking to bolster their skills.

1. The basic building blocks for all campaigners

The four central modules of the Campaign Carousel offer a grounding in the basics skills and understanding you need to understand how you can make change happen. These core elements will stand you in good stead whatever your campaigning interests or change goal.

*The first workshop will be Introduction to Social Change and Campaigning on 19th April 2022, 2pm-5pm*

The other Core Modules on the course are:

- Analysing the Problem and Planning for Change

- Evaluation and Measuring Impact

- Communicating for Change

2. Build you own workshop series

Then, you are invited to choose five topics from our varied selection of eight three-hour workshops. These have been designed to offer you the flexibility to delve deeper into skills and topics that are of particular interest to you. Some are campaign disciplines, some explore emerging issues and some are about you and your confidence and well-being.

3. A campaigning community

During your year of riding the Campaign Carousel we will provide a platform for ongoing discussions with campaigning peers. You will be able to share ideas, knowledge and questions and support each other as you progress.

4. Ongoing support and coaching

Throughout the year, we will offer six voluntary drop-in coaching sessions. These will be your opportunity outside of the formal training to pick the brains of our dedicated staff and experts and ask for specific areas of support for your campaign.

The Campaign Carousel operates a progressive pricing model - the course costs £725 for small organisations (turnover under £500,000), £1,050 for medium-sized organisations (turnover £500,000-£2m), and £1,500 for large organisations (turnover over £2m).
