About this event

  • 1 day 5 hours

It's been a long time coming and it's a long old way but we're finally heading North of the border wand bringing the CamperVan Live Lounge to Scotland.

There have been a number of requests for us to put on a show further North and last year we were introduced to a magical spot that just had to be the place for it to happen. This beautiful gem of a place is somewhat of a secret hence we are only releasing that it is in the Galashiels area, and on booking you will be given the exact location.

Join Tom Dibb, Chaïni, Daisy Chute, and Rishiraj Kulkarni at the CamperVan Live Lounge for Two nights of magical live music by campfire light, spanning genres of Surf, Folk, Roots, Blues, Soul, Americana, Spiritual, and World from some of the finest independent touring songwriters and musicians we've met on the road.

L ine up:

13/09/24 Tom Dibb, Chaïni, Daisy Chute

14/09/24 Tom Dibb, Chaïni, Rishiraj Kulkarni

Tom Dibb

Whether you're watching Tom Dibb solo or with band, get set for a beautifully gutsy performance, as he tells his stories with undertones of blues, roots and folk, grown through a forest of soaring acoustic goodness.

Tom has found his sound set firmly with an ever growing, loyal fan base that follow him not only across his home turf in the UK, but also across the Globe. Tom's world tour and self drive expedition in his 1989 vw camper-van all the way from the UK to Australia in 2016, lay the foundations and inspiration for much of his material. It fits into mainstream moulds, yet also satisfies a deeper creative taste.

Chaïni

Blend the richest of soul vocals with mature yet cheeky saxophone, raw acoustic guitars, flawless harmony, and hopeful passionate lyric, shake it up with roots, jazz, and blues, and you’re starting to get the vibe.
Charli and Nini (aka Chaïni) are two outstanding talents bound in beautiful creative energy to form this French Alpine duo, producing heart felt moving music the likes of which are rare to find. Once found never forgotten.

Friday 13/09/24 Daisy Chute

Daisy Chute is an American-Scottish folk singer and songwriter. A banjo-wielding multi-instrumentalist, her musical roots are born out of her transatlantic heritage and she writes award-winning intelligent songs with stories, performing them with spine-tingling vocals & intricate instrumentation.

Saturday 14/09/24 Rishiraj Kulkarni

Rishiraj Kulkarni is a multi-percussionist musician based in The Netherlands and India, graduated with Honours in Music from Middlesex University, London (U.K.) specialising in Indian classical music, western classical music, and audio technology.

His primary instrument is the tabla, with which his journey in music began, he also plays the handpan, steel tongue drum, marimba, xylophone, and vibraphone to name a few. Since 2012 he has collaborated and performed with artists from various art forms such as illustrators, painters, thespians, poets, singers, ballet dancers, western classical orchestras and Indian classical musicians, performing across Europe and India.

Live music will commence from 7pm and amplified music will wrap by 11pm. We do then have a tendency to unplug and bring it in round the fire till the early hours though of course.

Can't wait to welcome you to our magical scottish hideout.

Frequently asked questions

Can I camp?

Yes please do. There is a camping add on at checkout and it's just £5 per person per night. Tents and camper vans welcome, given the access to our secret location trailers will not be possible.

Can I bring my dog?

If your canine companion is a sociable beast by all means bring them along. We just ask that you keep them on a lead around the performance area and tidy up after them.

Can I bring my own beverages?

Yes you can. We do not plan to have a bar on site so stock up, sensibly of course ?

What are the site facilities?

Like us, our gatherings are pretty wild and facilities are minimal. There are composting toilets on site and running water but that's about it. So bring what you need and and let's rough it.

Are fire pits and BBQ's allowed?

BBQ's are allowed providing they are at least 1 foot off the ground and monitored. There is one large communal fire pit that we will be using and the land owner has requested we stick to that. Anything scorching the ground will be extinguished.

Is there catering available?

Currently no. This is a bring your own affair as it stands but this could change and we will keep you poset with any developments.
