Event description

Description

For many, fairness between generations - from lifetime earnings to pensions and housing - is becoming the new inequality of our time. The Resolution Foundation has convened an Intergenerational Commission to bring together leaders from the worlds of business, policy and academia to explore these issues and consider how to renew the social contract between generations.

At this Conservative Conference event, Robert Halfon will give his take on how the new government plans to tackle intergenerational unfairness, with a focus on education. Carolyn Fairbairn of the CBI will give her insight on how prospects for the young can be improved, followed by an audience Q&A chaired by the Resolution Foundation’s David Willetts.

Venue: Scherzo room, The Hyatt Regency Birmingham

Refreshments will be provided.

Please note that this event takes place within the secure zone of Conservative Party Conference. As such you will need a conference pass to attend.
