Event Details

This debate will feature a discussion on the sustainability of shale gas. We will be considering its compatibility with the decarbonisation of the power sector, the areas of uncertainty and other issues of contention.

It will be chaired by The Guardian columnist Zoe Williams.

The panel:

Caroline Lucas MP, Green MP for Brighton Pavilion

David Kennedy, chief executive, Committee on Climate Change

Michael Liebreich, chief executive, Bloomberg New Energy Finance

Rt Hon Lord Smith of Finsbury, chairman, Environment Agency

 

Registration opens at 5.30pm, with the debate starting at 6pm.

The debate will be followed by a drinks reception, from 7.30-9pm.
