The Manchester International Law Centre is organizing a public debate on the question “Can international law safeguard democracy?”. The organizers cordially invite you to take part in the discussion and pose questions about democratic governance and international law.

A keynote speech will be given by Professor Brad Roth (Wayne State University), a leading world expert on contemporary challenges to democracy. This will be followed by a discussion with the audience. The event aims to foster a public debate about the contribution of international law to current problems of democracy. The event is free and forms part of the Festival of Social Sciences.
