There have been many stories in the press lately about environmental influences on our memory (blueberries boost cognitive function in those with mild impairments, sleep apnoea and heavy snoring linked to memory decline etc). Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) can involve problems with memory, language, thinking and judgment. These are greater than normal age-related changes, but not to the extent that it is obvious in daily activities, such as banking, driving, managing medication and taking care of usual responsibilities. MCI has recently become of concern to medical practitioners because it can be a sign of progressive decline to a state of dementia.
Come and hear Dr Jean Monro, Medical Director of Breakspear Medical, outline where the risks are and give you practical advice on protecting yourself from cognitive decline from an environmental medicine prespective.
Display: http://itdoesthejob.com/ will have some products on display for removing pollutants for air and water so you can see these and get advice on other environmental products.
The seminar room is only accessible up a stair case so is, unfortunately, not suitable for disabled access.
