Explore causes behind Imposter Syndrome and the effects it can have on us as leaders, business people and individuals.
About this event
Psychology Today defines Imposter Syndrome as the feeling of severe inadequacy and self-doubt that can leave people fearing that they will be exposed as a "fraud".
This is something from which we all suffer to a more or lesser extent, but it can be felt more severely by some than others. As small business leaders, such feelings can lead to a number of behaviours which can:
• Impede the growth of our business
• Lose sight of our value and worth – undercharging and over-delivering
• Make us work longer hours damaging health and wellbeing
• Damage relationships with our families and friends
• Live in a state of loneliness
• Live in a state of tension or fear
In this session, Jason French - leadership and business growth expert - will help you explore some of the causes behind Imposter Syndrome and the effects it can have on us as leaders, business people and individuals. We'll look at some of the solutions to those causes and discuss some practical actions we can implement to build self-worth and present ourselves on our own terms.
