We are very excited to announce that the Regional Communication Aid Service (RCAS) and the Regional Environmental Control Service (RECS) are coming together to hold an Assistive Technology Event for health, social and education professionals/support staff. The day long conference, sponsored by Smartbox, will be a celebration of the excellent work within the field of assistive technology in the North East and North Cumbria.

We are delighted to be able to welcome Andrew Junker, developer of the Brainfingers's device from the USA, as our keynote speaker.

Thoughout the day there will be presentations on a variety of topics, covering Alternative and Augmentative Communication (both for adults and children), computer access methods and environmental control systems. Speakers from a variety of equipment manufacturers (including Tobii Dynavox, Techess, Liberator and more) and professionals working in the field of assistive technology in the region will present on a wide range of contemporary topics sharing good practice and a wealth of experience.
