Event description
PRONI & Belfast Titanic Society invite you to an afternoon showcasing unique maritime records & how you can use them to undertake research.

About this Event

Maureen McKinney, Vice-Chair of Belfast Titanic Society has been interested for many years in the history of Belfast Shipbuilding, inspired by the knowledge that both her grandfathers worked in the Belfast shipyards of Workman Clark and Harland & Wolff. She will bring her experience of researching available sources and records to those seeking to trace their shipyard relatives.

Stephen Scarth is Head of Public Services at PRONI. He is responsible for all visitor related services for both onsite and online users. Stephens will highlight treasures from the PRONI collections relating to maritime history including amongst others: Harland & Wolff, the Harbour Commissioners, Ministry of Transport records, Andrews and other family papers.
