Event Details

You, like us, will be only too aware of the fast-developing situation with regards to the COVID-19 pandemic. The safety and wellbeing of our attendees and staff is our priority and, with this in mind, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Innovate UK and Office for Low Emission Vehicles: R&D Update events scheduled for 31st March in London and 2nd April in Leeds.

We know that you value these face-to-face networking opportunities, however, we must follow the latest advice issued by the UK government.

Our work at KTN is ongoing and we are doing all we can to support our staff and our network of businesses across the UK and further afield. We’re sorry this event has been cancelled but please keep an eye out for future opportunities to network online using different tools and new platforms. You can find our latest ‘online events’ listing here.

Thank you for your support and understanding.

Background

The Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) is working across Government to support the market for low and zero emission vehicles. They are providing £1.5 billion to position the UK at the global forefront of ultra-low emission vehicle development, manufacture and use. This will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution from our roads whilst contributing to economic growth. OLEV is part of the Department for Transport and the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy.

OLEV’s R&D programme, including the long running Integrated Delivery Programme (IDP), continues to be a vital part of a network of government support available to the UK’s automotive industry. Along with UKRI’s support for fundamental science, Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund programmes such as Faraday and Driving the Electric Revolution, and the Advanced Propulsion Centre’s late stage pre-commercialisation opportunities, it offers a complete pipeline of support for the development of innovative zero emission technologies.

Event Description

OLEV and Innovate UK will provide an update on their R&D programme, as well as potential future funding opportunities.

Delegates will have the opportunity to network with organisations across the automotive supply chain and speak directly to OLEV and Innovate UK staff.

This event will benefit business of all sizes (micro, SME and large), academics, RTO and local authorities with an interest in the development of zero emission vehicles. Organisations who have been involved in past or current Innovate UK competitions in the automotive space are encouraged to attend.

During the event there will be an opportunity for organisations to give a brief pitch on their technology advances and options for collaboration.

A full agenda will be published in due course.

Unable to attend? There is also an event in Leeds on 2nd April 2020. You can register for the Leeds event here.
