Cheshire and Merseyside Cancer Alliance is pleased to announce a new, free in-person event designed to provide non-clinical staff with essential knowledge for improving early cancer detection.
We are looking for non-clinical colleagues from each PCN with a keen interest in Cancer to join our event, such as practice-based care navigators (receptionists) or care co-ordinators.
The aim is to equip these colleagues with the knowledge and inspiration required to share with their PCN colleagues. The nominated individual is expected to take tangible action points away and create impact within their PCN and improvements at Practice level.
What we will cover:
- What is cancer and what does it look like in Cheshire and Merseyside?
- Identifying red flag symptoms of cancer
- Referral processes for suspected cancer
- Cancer Screening programmes and supporting uptake
Please nominate non-clinical colleagues from your PCN you believe will benefit most from this event, as well as sharing any key learnings with colleagues post-event.
Please note this event is only available to non-clinical staff working in GP practices/ PCNs in Cheshire and Merseyside who have contact with members of the public e.g. reception staff, practice-based care navigators or care coordinators.
