Event description
This 4-day course covers a breadth of topics pertinent to the rapidly moving field of genomics, impacting all areas of healthcare.

About this Event

We will equip you with the basics of cancer genetic counselling, approaches to genetic testing, management of hereditary cancers and a consent taking workshop, covering a variety of different cancer types. The course will be delivered through online learning resources, lectures and problem based learning practical sessions. You will work with members of the cancer genetics team at Guy’s Hospital, to become confident at incorporating genetics into your own area of specialism.

Why attend? By 2021, where appropriate, every person diagnosed with cancer will have access to personalised care, and genomics plays a major role in this.

Who should attend? Healthcare professionals working in cancer care.

Venue: 15 – 17 June at Gordon Museum of Pathology, Guy’s Campus, King’s College London, London, SE1 1UL

18 June at Burrell Street Sexual Health Centre, 4 – 5 Burrell Street, London, SE1 0UN
