By the end of the training, participants will have:
-
Improved understanding of the impact of cancer and its treatment on a person’s life – including long term consequences, and how needs may change over time.

Improved understanding of how to enable access to joined-up holistic support for people affected by cancer in primary, secondary, community and social care settings.

Confidence in their ability to make a positive impact on a person’s quality of life, enabling them to meet their personal goals through a multi-agency approach.
-
An understanding of how to provide a more seamless experience of care for people with cancer, by promoting more integrated working between professionals. This includes improving communication of a person’s needs, appropriate signposting, coordinating care planning, and reducing duplication.
