What is Naked Yoga?
Exactly what it says on the tin! A Yoga class practiced and taught without the restrictions of clothes.
I'm shy, but I really want to join in...
Shy? no problem! The option to have as much clothes on as you feel comfortable is your choice, nobody is going to be forcing you to be completely naked. The idea behind the classes are that you eventually start to honour your body and start to develop a loving relationship with the skin you're in.
The same applies too your camera, its upto you if you feel comfortable having your camera on or not.
Why naked?
Anahata Chakra - the space of the heart centre is where this practice will be focused on. The heart space is responsible for the relationship we not only have with others but more importantly the one in which we have with ourselves. Therefore, a bump in one of these areas will have a knock on affect with the rest of your energy channels. Practicing naked releases a sense of liberation and freedom, and with regular practice will help to strengthen that relationship you have with yourself. The Idea behind my classes is that students will feel a sense of safety in their skin and overall a sheer amount of confidence over the course of the classes.
The body is the vessel in which carries our soul, far too often we critize and we don't appreciate the journey in which is guides us through in what we call 'life'. The normalisation of each and every indiviual body type is what my classes aim to bring to the table. To love and cherish the skin you're in. To feel confident, sexy and nurtured by the shape of your body. And to finally, feel like you can take on the world.
Where?
This event will be held Online via Google hangouts - email links will be sent 1hr before the session.
What do I need?
Yourself and a yoga mat- if you do not have a yoga mat then a fitness mat or soft layout beneath you will do. Blankets for Savasana.
Please prepare your space with candles and any incense that you like.
I'm new to yoga, can I join?
Of course! My classes are suitable for all levels and abilities. The practice will be a slow flow focusing on a small number of backbends to channel Anahata chakra as well as our Muladhara Chakra - our root, as we find ourselves rooting down and coming home to oursleves.
Various options will be given throughout the class for those that would like more of a challenege or for those that would wish to keep it on the gentler side.
