*** This is a bi-weekly event @ ookushana Workshop, Leeds - and every other Monday is a Sound Bath without the Yin Yoga!

Invitation:

Join Lorna for a candlelit yin yoga and sound bath, where we will slow down and open the body, mind and emotions through deep surrender.

You’ll be guided through a nourishing 45-minute yin yoga practice, then journey into sound healing with Alchemy crystal singing bowls and other instruments for a 45-minute sound bath.

What To Expect:

I usually tend to be guided by the seasons, the elements and astrology, but these evenings often include:

- A blend of guided meditation and breath awareness to begin

- An opportunity to set a personal intention

- A gentle yin yoga practice with different soul-led themes to prepare and open the body for sound healing

- Yin yoga focuses on holding postures, sometimes up to five minutes, allowing the body to open over time rather than through effort. There’s no rush to get anywhere in yin!

- Immersion in sound frequencies with Alchemy crystal singing bowls

- Spaciousness and time at the end to ground back into your body, an important process after sound healing

Who is This For?

Anybody who would like to embrace slowing down and give themselves the gift of receiving through the magic of sound healing & yin yoga.

This is an all levels class and different modifications are offered for you to find your own variation in a pose. Yin is a soothing antidote to a busy lifestyle and embracing your softer, feminine side. It is a practice of feeling and sensing with the body.

What you Will Need:

- Wear something you can feel comfy, warm and cosy in

- Blanket

- Eye pillow if that helps you relax

- Journal (optional)

About `The Workshop:

Sound baths create a space for you to rest, receive and promote your own healing through sound vibrations with different instruments. Your only job is to lie down and listen as your nervous system relaxes.

Sound can offer you a supportive opportunity to go deeper within and listen to your own inner voice that is always guiding you.

Lorna works with Alchemy crystal singing bowls, voice, drums, chimes and more and her intention, always, is to bring you back to balance and the body’s natural state of equilibrium.

Please note: This sound journey isn't suitable for those with epilepsy, pace-makers/metal plates, severe mental health problems or those in their first trimester of pregnancy.

About Your Guide:

Lorna is a sound healer, yoga teacher and writer who is passionate about sharing real wellbeing tools for real people.

This journey began eight years ago on a yoga mat during a challenging time of her life in when chronic illness took its toll on her family and her own sense of self. Sound healing and yoga became a doorway to remembering her voice and the parts of herself she’d lost through experiencing trauma. This path led to qualifying as a Yoga Alliance accredited yin yoga teacher and studying both sound healing and sound therapy.

Through sound and meditation, mainly using the vibrational frequencies of Alchemy crystal singing bowls and her voice, her hope is to give you space to listen and remember the forgotten parts you.
