About this Event

This year see's the launch of the UK's first "Cannafest" on Saturday, August 3rd in Dumfries, Scotland. With some of the biggest names in the UK Cannabis Industry attending. Live Music from top performers from around the country ranging from Beatbox to the Blues. Demonstrations and Workshops from Glass Blowers to Digeridoo lessons. Cannafest looks to be an action packed day of festivities and certainly one to put in your calendar. With only a small number of tickets available due to licensing technicalities. The intimate setting in the heart of the Dumfries and Galloway countryside provides the perfect setting for an unforgettable gathering.

Raising funds on behalf of the "Make a Wish Foundation". The event is being organised by the Dumfries and Galloway Cannabis Social Club. With a mainstage being headlined by MC Xander (www.mcxander.com) who has amassed over 8 Million views on YouTube with his eclectic mix of Beatbox and Dub. Xander is regarded by many as one of the most technically gifted musicians in the country. With many more top acts lined up, all which can be found on the event website at (www.ukcannafest.com) in the line up section. The hills are set to come alive with music!

With a Special Guest Speakers Corner including appearances from Greg de Hoedt ( UKCSC, Chairman), Simpa Carter (Weed World Magazine), Phil James (Brain Cancer survivor), Karan Gray (Murrays Page) and many more lined up. It looks set to be an informative and educational day for all who attend.

There will be Food Stalls catering to everyone's needs from Vegan to Reggae. The nutritional to the medible, something for all. There will however be NO ALCOHOL sales on the day. Due to the nature of the event and with families in attendance. We do ask that any alcohol that be brought on site be kept to a minimum, and be consumed responsibly. We want to break the stigmatisation associated with 'Festivals' as well as 'Cannabis'. This is why we feel that by respecting our surroundings and nature, as well as each other. We can collectively change the publics attitudes towards our community. We are after all a community of care givers. It will be a proud moment if we can raise enough funds to make a child's wish come true.

With the support and backing from the UKCSC and many other organisations. We have the foundations set to make Cannafest one of the first events that get marked in your calendar. A massive thanks to everyone who has contributed so far and helped in getting this off the ground.
